Evaluación de estrategias de marketing nutricional en televisión nacional, para la promoción de productos procesados anunciados para niños

Abstract
El marketing nutricional es un concepto que gana popularidad por la alta demanda de los consumidores hacia alimentos saludables que realmente aporten bienestar. El objetivo del presente estudió fue evaluar las estrategias de marketing nutricional en televisión nacional para la promoción de productos procesados anunciados para niños. Mediante un diseño descriptivo transversal, se seleccionaron los anuncios de productos, emitidos en siete canales de televisión nacional. En las 224 horas de emisión, se recopiló 225 anuncios, correspondientes a 24 productos diferentes, 58% alimentos; 21% bebidas y 21% suplementos alimenticios; 100% de los anuncios utilizan alguna técnica de marketing analizadas; 54% recurrieron a declaraciones nutricionales, 48% a declaraciones de salud y grafismo saludable, 11% aval científico y 100% a marketing comercial. Los suplementos alimenticios cumplen 100% del aval científico. Por categorías, bebidas, pan y lácteos presentaron los porcentajes más altos del uso del marketing nutricional. Las etiquetas y anuncios comerciales declaran nutrientes principalmente vitaminas, minerales o presencia de determinados nutrientes; la categoría de los lácteos alcanza 100% y las bebidas 80%. Según el semáforo nutricional, los productos menos saludables se presentan en rojo o amarillo, en consecuencia, los productos promocionados en diferentes categorías pasarían a esta denominación, exceptuando los suplementos alimenticios.
