Abstract
El objetivo de la investigación se enfoca en analizar los recursos gastronómicos de Puerto López, ubicados en el Parque Nacional Machalilla de Ecuador y en examinar la influencia del consumo de platos tradicionales en el flujo de visitantes a los atractivos turísticos de la región. Se empleó un método cuantitativo y descriptivo, complementado con herramientas cualitativas como entrevistas y grupos focales. Estas últimas se dirigieron a expertos y exfuncionarios de entidades relacionadas con el turismo y la gastronomía. Los resultados obtenidos se analizaron considerando aspectos como la categorización de los establecimientos, la cantidad de plazas disponibles, la identificación de territorios gastronómicos y la oferta actual de platos típicos.
