Cambios y avances en los estudios de arqueología costera: De la semana de estudios de prehistoria y arqueología de 1984 a las investigaciones más recientes

Abstract
Este artículo tiene como objetivo realizar una revisión bibliográfica para comprobar posibles cambios y avances en la forma de identificar, analizar e interpretar el registro arqueológico de diferentes contextos costeros. Como referencia, analizamos los trabajos presentados y los resultado de la Semana de Estudios sobre Prehistoria y Arqueología, en el ámbito de la 36ª Reunión Anual de la Sociedad Brasileña para el Progreso de la Ciencia, IPH-USP, en 1984 y los trabajos publicados en los últimos veinte años en diferentes contextos del mundo. La correlación entre ambos estudios de caso permitió verificar la importancia de los contextos costeros para la comprensión de hechos del pasado asociados a las primeras colonizaciones de los territorios, migración y dispersión en continentes, como es el caso del continente americano.
